Fall
Well today was officially the first day of Fall. I love this time of year, the change in temperature and the smell in the air signals change. This summer was VERY hot, humid and murder on my hair! I'm not a huge fan of summer b/c I have to run my A/C on arctic blast to sleep and that in turn means HUGE electric bills. But all thats gone. Time to enjoy the colors on the ground and the foods that you can only enjoy this time of year. The start of the new Fall TV season, Thank the Lord. Now I can sit in my window in the morning and watch Joyce Meyer and the first 45 minutes of the Today Show, gotta watch Matt, Meredith Al and Ann! Nows the time to pull out the fall wardrobe. No heavy sweaters yet but lightweight ones and long sleeve shirts. I can enjoy longer evening walks and morning walks on weekends. I am looking for to the fall because not only was this summer way too hot but it was also a season of growth for me. I experienced new emotions, had visitors for most of the summer and learned a few new things about myself. The biggest lesson is I have to learn to expect the best instead of waiting for the worst. That I deserve good things to happen to me. I am a pretty patient person but in one area in particular I've had none and I (and I alone) was making myself crazy. Anything worth having is worth the effort to work for. Change can be painful (emotionally) but anything gained too quick is never appreciated and you usually end up having to move on to the next quick thrill. The funny thing is I remembered thinking this summer that fall would never get here and that the heat would last forever. Well Fall is here and the heat is gone. It took a while but the seasons changed. The wait wasn't bad at all.
