New Years In New York City
I write this entry from my favorite place in the world, NEW YORK CITY!! I am here visiting my good (yet EVIL) friend Jeffery ( here's a link to his blog www.myexerciseinfutility.blogspot.com). Jefferey just up and moved to NY a couple of years ago after a spur of the moment visit in 2005, and it was the best thing he ever did for me. I never have to worry about a hotel room when I visit. He lives in Harlem in a great building. I had to navigate the subway this morning because at the last moment he decided he wasn't coming to pick Rick and I up so from 7:15 to 9:30 we Rick and I lived our own version of "Home Alone Lost In New York" Jefferey will pay. As of 3 PM today I've been to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Great museum although I will admit the paintings did very little for me, I didn't get excited until Michael made Jeffery take me to the Egyptian section. But the highlight of the museum was when I stumbled into the fashion section. Clothing as works of art, I almost fainted. The platform shoes Naomi Campbell fell in were in display, there were also dresses that were so intricate they looked liked paintings. I also recognized a couple of pieces from the display that I've seen famous socialites and celebrities wear, it gets no better and makes up for the lack of sleep. That being said I need a nap before I start acting as bitchy as Jefferey!

Enjoy the BIG APPLE, you deserve it.
