I'm going to break this entry up into 3 separate entries for easier reading.

I haven't blogged for a while and heres why, I promised myself that I would never blog for the sake of blogging. 
I think a fluffy entry is not only a waste of my time but an insult to anyone who takes the time to read it.
 So, I have been chewing on my fingers for weeks and patently waiting for some form of inspiration and it came in the in form of ....... THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW!  Yes I love Oprah the show, the magazines, the website and the yet to be launched network.  In case you've been living under a rock Oprah in partnership with Discovery Channel/Discovery Communications, will launch OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) in 2009.  I'll come back to why I elaborated on the network later.  A couple of years ago Oprah did a show on The Secret, it became a huge phenomenon.  It was cheered and ridiculed like nothing I'd seen in a long time and I couldn't figure out why.  It was positive, uplifting and empowering so whats the problem?  It wasn't properly explained.  The Secret (www.thesecret.tv) in a nutshell talks about visualizing and thinking about what you want to accomplish or have in your life.  It's something we've all done pretty much from kindergarten.  A big part of the secret is creating a vision board.  A vision board is a collage of pictures, cut out from magazines and glued onto to poster board.  We've all created a vision board in some form or another whether it's a hairstyle you've cut out of a magazine, a picture of a car you've torn out of Car and Driver at the doctors office or a bikini you'd like to fit in by summer that you've tapped to your mirror.   Jim Carey is a prime example of the laws of attraction, long before we knew who he was he wrote himself a 10 Million dollar check, gave himself an alloted time frame to cash it and put it in his wallet.  Just in case you didn't know, he met his goal actually he exceeded his goal by becoming the first actor to be paid 20 Million (now the benchmark for success in movie star salaries) for a movie role.  I immediately got the principals and put the into practice, made my vision board, changed my inner dialog and I can say that some things over time changed.  Now The Secret is nothing new.  My mother and I watched the DVD and quickly realized that there's nothing in The Secret thats not in the Bible or for that matter any religion or organized faith, the majority of us have never been taught how to practice them.  There are a few bible verses I'm familiar with: Proverbs 18:21 The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love to talk will have to eat their own words or Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he....
