During last weeks campaigning stop in Norfolk, VA (my hometown) Paula Deen converted the kitchen of Old Dominion University  into a cooking studio and put none other the next First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama to work!  Reports are the twp prepared Fried Shrimp (LORD HAVE MERCY) and Creole french fries, somebody in that kitchen would have got SLAPPED ( thats a take on the saying "taste so good makes you wanna slap yo momma",  you know food is good if you're willing risk certain death by slapping yo momma).  Reportedly the ladies talk about the first dish Michelle made for Barak, how the family eats on the road and that Barak makes a pretty good chili.  Paula's Party airs on Saturday September 20th, 2008 on the Food Network, check your local listings for times, the episode is titled Grease is the Word Party.

Let's hope Cindy McCain and Sarah Palin also accept Paulas invitations to appear on her show.  I may not like your politics but we all have to eat and if you can cook, I can put policies and party affiliations aside long enough to have a good meal.
