UPDATE:  The last time I was in New York the salon was no longer offering the Tuesday and Wednesday special, but before tip and without a conditioner my cost was only $15.00, with tip it was $20.00.  I'm not complaining!  

Here's a personal tip, if your hair is in it's natural state and you get conditioners you'll want the full blow out, but if your hair is relaxed, tell the stylist only blow out the roots.  Since relaxed hair is chemically straightened you want to avoid excessive heat as much as possible (using the blow dryer too often on relaxed hair is murder and leads to breakage) but new growth/virgin hair is stronger and can withstand straightening from the blow dryer. Try this a few times and you will notice fewer split ends, your style will last longer, you can go longer between chemical relaxers (thank God), and the best part YOU GET OUT OF THE SALON FASTER!  Your stylist will be happy too because they will get you out quicker and move to the next client meaning, more $$$ for them!
