Direct Twitter Messages

Twitter or www.twitter.com (in case you have been under a rock) is a web based service that allows users to broadcast what they're doing to large a group of users in seconds.

After getting the hang of Twitter, realizing who Tweets too damn much and who Tweets reasonably (really who gives a damn what you're eating for lunch or dinner) I've come to enjoy it.

The best thing about Twitter is Direct Messages. A Direct Message is when someone sends a message to you and not the whole Twitter nation. If you don't know there are celebrities and public figures who Tweet about any and everything (most of which is ehhh) but sometimes they say something interesting and you can respond. I have found a few subjects interesting sent some responses and to my surprise I have received Direct Message responses. My favorite so far have been from Sherri Sheppard (The View) and Suze Orman, just got hers today.

I was very excited about Suze's response because her response was very on time and because I respect her it meant a lot. I just told Jefferey that I was going to save all my Direct Messages and soon as I said it occurred to me that I could share them on my blog. So starting today I will be posting any (appropriate) Direct Messages I receive from public figures. Now I need you guys to pray for me because I follow on Twitter and I want a Direct Message from her. When I get one from her you guys will know cause I will holla like a old white woman in church!!

If you have a Twitter account look me up and follow me: coleycole3rd. You can also see my Twitter updates on my blog. Don't think you have to Tweet to enjoy Twitter, many major news and information outlets use Twitter to get info to the masses. Sign up, add your favorite (or non favorite) news outlet or politician, you'll know sooner and more of what they're doing. I just added the White House this morning, I WANT TO KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING.
