This Is It: The Official Michael Jackson Movie Trailer
If you missed the MTV Awards last night you missed 3 things:
1. A touching introduction to the dance tribute by Madonna who in a rare instance showed public emotion and managed to keep herself from crying in public. If you're a real Madonna fan you will know the ONLY time she has cried in public! Come on Jefferys which of you will answer first! (My money is on Jeff Pool, Jeff D'Binski is a music fan but knows little about the woman).
2. A blazing, spot on, step by step, Michael Jackson dance tribute performed by the dancers that were part of Michael Jackson's THIS IS IT shows at Londons O2 Arena, Janet Jackson and choreographer's that worked with Michael and Janet over the years. The choreographer's danced with Janet as she performed SCREAM, Michaels dancers performed in PERFECT SYNC with his videos.
3. The debut of the THIS IS IT movie trailer. Michael Jackson was in rehearsal for his 50 show residency at Londons 02 Arena. There has been much speculation about his health and ability to perform. The promoters and Michaels management have made it clear in no uncertain terms that Michael was in at his best and more than able to perform.
Many people, including his sister Latoya have said he didn't want to do 50 shows and that 50 shows were too much, I don't believe it. Michael Jackson did what Michael Jackson wanted to do and his life (and unfortunate death) prove that and secondly it wasn't a Tour it was a 50 engagement residency. The 50 shows were to be performed like a Vegas show, 2 a week.
Michael made a lot of us realize it's ok to be who we are. When shooting the documentary "Living With Michael Jackson" and shopping with the reporter Michael purchased several very ornate over the top decorative urns, the interviewer said to Michael "they're rather gaudy" Michael briefly paused and said in no uncertain terms, in a matter of fact tone "it's my taste..." and when back to shopping. Thats my favorite Michael Jackson quote.
That said I will let the trailer speak for itself. Anyone who knows me knows I will see this the DAY it's released and at least 5 times and buy it when it comes out on DVD.
